Oranga Tamariki investigating 'report of concern' at Wesley College
Kia ora neighbours, Oranga Tamariki and police are investigating a “report of concern” at Wesley College.
The investigation follows the Education Review Office (ERO) confirming it was undertaking a “special review” of the school due to “significant concerns” about the school and its hostels.
There had also been allegations of students at the Methodist college receiving “coverings”, where they were made to cover their faces before being punched, kicked and slapped by older students.
Tim Baldwin of Oranga Tamariki confirmed a report of concern had been received and the organisation was investigating with police.
