Women's Multicultural Celebration
Have you saved the date? This event was to have been in March but due to Covid lockdown it was postponed and is now connected with Suffrage celebration and will be on Saturday 18th Sept. 10am - 2pm
It is still inclusive and diverse, it will still have Ranjna Patel and another high profile person (not yet announced) as speaker.
There will be lots of dancing, African, Colombian, Thai and Indian, and plenty of enthusiasm and a good meal.
Tickets purchased for March 6th will be honoured.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

Illegal dumping
This is awful how people just disregard bylaws. dump their rubbish in parks and waterways to try get away with having to pay dumping costs at the rubbish dumps and transfer stations. This also can cause flooding again due to blocking the grate of the culvert in Princes street. No thought for neighbours or damage that can be caused by their actions.
