Looking for Pens
Hi neighbours, I am a trainer and some of the people I work with come from difficult backgrounds. I provide worksheets for the training participants and offer pens to those who need it. While the expectation is for the participants to use the pen during the session and then return it to me, a good number gets taken away each time. I generally give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that they have taken it because they really need it. Well, I'm hoping to collect some unused pens from all of you which I can then use for the training sessions and avoid taking on the financial burden of supplying fresh pens all the time. One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

Night-time chipsealing works on SH2
From 9 to 17 February, stop/go traffic management will be in place on SH2 between McPherson Road and Dimmock Road on multiple nights between 9pm and 5am (Sundays to Thursdays).
During the day, all lanes will be open, but speed restrictions will apply to allow the chipseal to set and to protect vehicles travelling over the newly laid surface.
There may be delays to your journey when travelling through the area. This is weather dependent so check NZTA Journey Planner before you travel.
