ONE IN FOUR - Te Wairua O Tika
Workshop 30th June 1 – 4 pm at the Anglican Church Hall, 43 Queen St., Pukekohe
This workshop encourages people to look at their ability to be supportive and empathise with sexual abuse survivors.

It is an opportunity to develop strategies helpful in relating to sexual abuse survivors to aid their recovery. It also aims to change beliefs and bring about social change within a community. This workshop is suitable for any member of the public who wishes to better engage with sexual abuse survivors. It is also suitable for health professionals, government agencies and community groups. Entry is by Koha (give what you can afford), afternoon tea provided. Book early, numbers limited.

The workshop is facilitated by Ciaran Torrington, an ACC registered sexual abuse therapist and assessor, she works in communities to develop grassroots strategies to reduce harm and build social support for sexual abuse survivors which is essential for recovery.
Terri Stout the speaker, was a registered psychiatric nurse and has a passion for addressing the impact of sexual trauma on reproductive health.
