After experiencing the run-around from traditional lenders, she came across Prospa on social media. They provided her with the funds she needed to open a new salon premises and do a complete fit out and refresh, all with an easy-to-manage weekly repayment plan that suited business cash flow.
Next step for Francis is to work with a business coach to grow the business further – and Prospa will be right alongside her.

More than 70,000 daily bus trips could be affected by a suspension dealt to hundreds of NZ Bus drivers across Auckland. Union members had been … View moreMore than 70,000 daily bus trips could be affected by a suspension dealt to hundreds of NZ Bus drivers across Auckland. The suspension comes after tensions between NZ Bus and union members as they tried to settle on a new collective agreement regarding pay and work hours. Union members had been declining bus fares from passengers, and planned to do so until Christmas before the suspension began. Now drivers will go without pay until Christmas Eve.
NZ Bus' biggest area is central Auckland, all of the Link services, and those serving the main isthmus arterials to eastern suburbs and along Mt Eden, Dominion and Sandringham Roads, as well as some to the outer west and northwest, and on the North Shore.

Northwesterly winds have blown a hazy plume of smoke across the Tasman Sea, and while it has mostly affected the South Island in recent weeks, it has moved up the country.
The "robust plume" is expected to head to the South Island late on Saturday.

* Choose gifts with as little packaging as possible, or have
compostable packaging.
* Choose gifts in glass, paper or cardboard rather than plastic.
* Use recycled or recyclable wrapping when possible.
* Wrap gifts in a nice tea towel or handkerchief tied with a
ribbon or non-plastic string so the packaging is also useful.
* Give gifts that support people to make change such as a
nice takeaway coffee cup, glass or metal storage containers,
metal drink bottles, beeswax wrappers, useful carry bags, etc.
* Give a food hamper in a basket or box.
* Make homemade gifts that are edible or useful.
* Don't prepare more food than is required, and use or freeze
leftovers.
* Use paper plates and wooden cutlery, rather than plastic, if not
using proper plates and cutlery.
