It was simply to soak the pot in … View moreLast night I put some veges on to cook, got distracted, and forgot to turn them down. The result was a burnt pot! I remembered seeing a note about burnt pots in my mother's hand written recipe and helpful hints book, so I pulled the old book out and found it. It was simply to soak the pot in tea leaves. So I cleaned the burnt food out of the pot, put hot water in along with a teabag, and left to soak over night. I was pleasantly surprised as the pot cleaned up easily this morning. I thought it was worth sharing as most households have teabags readily on hand.

In Alert Level 3 of our COVID-19 response, unless there are exceptional circumstances, compassionate grounds, or birthing partners, family are not able to visit loved ones in hospital.
Compassionate or exceptional ground could include a family member to support:
● A patient through end of life care;
● Someone who has been in hospital for a long time
● A child in hospital
● Women giving birth in a maternity facility
Whaanau who want to visit a patient need to request this in advance. The decision will be made by a lead clinician.

Hi neighbours, charges won’t be laid after a video appearing to show live chickens in bags on an Auckland street was posted online.
The video, shot by Hinetekura Komene in May, showed dozens of white bags on the footpath outside the Boulevard Hotel in Newmarket.
