Summer Garden Open Days

Carolyn from Tawa

10.30am - 3.30pm Saturdays 8th, 15th and 22nd March
34 St Johns Tce, Redwood, Tawa

Rob and I would like to invite you to share the beauty of our late summer garden during 3 Saturdays in March.
Whether contemplation in a Zen garden, relaxing by potted citrus on a Mediterranean terrace, or exploring amongst lush foliage in a jungle type setting is your wish we are sure to have something for you. The perennial border is a kaleidoscope of bright colours, the mini meadow is alive with bees and butterflies and there is so much more.
We have a terraced 633m2 property which we have developed over 30+ years into garden rooms with different themes and colour schemes.
There will also be plants for sale

Entry is by $5 donation per adult please. We use funds raised to help purchase tulip bulbs for our spring open days and to keep improving the garden for your and our enjoyment.
A portion of the funds is also donated to the Malaghan Institute of Medical Research, a Wellington based biomedical research company.

The Riddler from The Neighbourly Riddler

I'm a fruit. If you take away my first letter, I'm a crime. If you take away my first two letters, I'm an animal. If you take away my first and last letter, I'm a form of music. What am I?

Do you think you know the answer? Simply 'Like' this post if you know the answer and the big reveal will be posted in the comments at 2pm on the day!

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
