Locals in Porirua have raised concerns about police training in a residential area where officers will be carrying firearms.
In a letter seen by Stuff, residents were told this week by police that they would be conducting training at Hazard Grove, Esk Pl and Calliope Cres in the Porirua suburb of Cannons Creek. The training would take place between 8am to 4.30pm on February 17 and February 23.
Locals have complained about the lack of consultation.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
