Papakōwhai shared path and intersection upgrade

Come along to our drop-in session and find out more about the new Papakōwhai Road shared path & Whitford Brown Avenue intersection upgrade.

Where and when:
Tuesday 19 September between 6 & 8pm
Papakōwhai School staff room, 17 Spey Place, Papakōwhai

What’s happening?
We’re connecting schools, parks and public transport with a new shared path along Papakōwhai Road and we’re also upgrading the intersection at Whitford Brown Avenue.

Both projects will make it easier for people to get around the city. All going well construction is planned to start in November 2023 and finish in winter 2024.

The Papakōwhai Road shared path is fully funded from the Government’s Transport Choices Programme, led by Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency.

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
