Virtuoso Strings Quintet
The Virtuoso Strings Quintet is playing my "Quintet in Three Movements tonight in the National Finals of the NZCT Chamber Music Contest. Four of the players attend Tawa College: Rochelle Pese, Jillian Tupuse, Veititi Alapati and Teddy Sneyd-Utting. The 5th member, Zung Bawm La Htaw is from Aotea College. As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
