Pinecones for Sale (fundraising for new bike!)
Now is the time to stock up on pinecones for the coming cooler months! These are great fire starters and burn well on the outdoor brazier. Collected by our 12 year old, the proceeds from sales kick off his saving for his dream bike. Selling for $10 for 100 (approx 1 countdown bag filled to the brim). Pick up is in Tawa. Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
