Summer Garden Open Days Sat 20th and Sun 21st 10am -4pm 34 St Johns Tce, Tawa

Carolyn from Tawa

We would love to welcome you to share in the beauty of our garden in Summer. It is a very different spectacle to what you saw in Spring when the gardens were full of massed tulips.
The sunflowers on the slope are just starting to bloom, the perennial border is in full swing and work on the subtropical jungle extension has begun.
In light of the recent covid news we ask that everyone brings their own pen to sign in the covid tracing book please. There are plenty of garden rooms to spread out in so keeping a distance should not pose a problem.

Entry is by donation. Thank you.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
