Wellington Zoo Chimp Park Grand Opening
Join us at the Zoo for the grand reveal of the Chimpanzee habitat upgrade on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 December. Working with habitat design experts, we’ve incorporated more climbing structures, hammocks and ropes than ever! These features aim to improve the Chimps wellbeing and encourage natural behaviours through environmental complexity.
There’s also a new immersive glass viewing area to help people connect with the Chimps and a new children’s playground, inspired by Chimps and how they play. Come to hang with the Chimps at Wellington Zoo for the grand opening of the Chimp Park and learn how you can make a difference to Chimpanzees in the wild.

Pat Waite, Rotary Co-President, said that once again Tawa residents had donated a large quantity of good books for the book fair, which starts this Saturday, and he would like to express his appreciation and thanks on behalf of the Club.
