So what do you think about the idea? And should it be paid for by dog registration fees perhaps?

To the idiot on a pushbike who overtook me on the roundabout yesterday – you must have a deathwish!!

I was waiting to drive straight ahead, southwards, at the BP roundabout yesterday morning. As I accelerated, a young man on a bicycle overtook me on the left, going straight ahead as I went left a little to negotiate the roundabout. Because I didn't see him until it was nearly too late, I nearly hit him.

Past Francis Xavier school, I was able to drive alongside him, and told him that what he had done was not a good idea, and he said "You weren't indicating".

At the next roundabout, he was still ahead of me, and he did the same thing to another car .... which then indicated left and abruptly turned into DressSmart. The cyclist had to take evasive action very quickly!!

The point is, if you're on a cycle, and you're going the same speed as a car, then just act like a car. Own the lane! Don't overtake on the left (I thought that was illegal anyway) because car drivers like me just won't see you. I do not want to watch a cyclist get knocked off and run over.
