On track for tragedy?

The photo of a child biking in front of a Tawa train is pretty scary.
There are concerns incidents like this are getting more common and we're keen to hear your thoughts on the crossings in and around Porirua.
Are they safe enough or do they need more safety infrastructure?
The picture was taken at Redwood level crossing - have you been there and do you think it's safe enough?
