The theatre has been bouncing around makeshift performance spaces since its home since 1950, the US Marines Hall in Tītahi Bay, was closed in 2012 after being deemed structurally unsafe. The building was declared an earthquake risk the following year.
Wardle is calling for the Porirua City Council to gift it a piece of land, so it can build itself a new home.

Regardless of our different faiths, abilities, cultures, ages, orientations and genders - we want to make sure that our communities are safe and welcoming for all.
There are many ways to take part! From hosting a multicultural potluck or film screening to providing prevention information / resources in other languages, there are thousands of ways big and small to make our households, neighbourhoods, schools and businesses even more inclusive. It could even be as simple as learning from a neighbour how to say ‘hello’ in their first language or ensuring local footpaths are clear and accessible.
Want to share your thoughts? Let us know how you’re creating inclusive communities this month by tagging us in your social media posts or emailing us your photos, videos, or experiences to:

"Hi there, my name is Opal and I am special girl looking a special home. If you are looking for a goofball dog then I'm the girl for you. I can be very silly, so if you are looking for a laugh then look no further. I am looking for a home with adults only and without small animals due to my quirks and behaviours shown previously. This kind of environment will help me to thrive in training and help me to settle into my new home. I always have a pep in my step and worm my way into peoples' hearts in very little time. I look forward to continuing training with my new owners and am sure to put a smile on your face at the end of a long day. I do come with a medical waiver that my new owners would need to be made aware of. If you think I am the gal for you, contact the canine team for more information."
