⚠ PLANNED WATER OUTAGE – WEDNESDAY 13 MAY BEATTIE CLOSE ⚠

The Team from Wellington Water

We are installing a new service into the water supply network in this area which will affect one commercial property on Beattie Close, Kenepuru, and no residential properties. This work means water supply will have to be turned off between 3:30pm and 7:30pm on Wednesday 13 May (tomorrow).

The water will be back on as soon as possible, but we recommend the those in the commercial property affected fill up some containers with water before 3:30pm and avoid running the dishwasher, washing machine etc. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
