New call-blocking technology fights spammers
Telco has introduced a new technology which screens incoming calls. Looking like a normal home phone, unknown callers have to announce their name and the receiver can then decide whether to accept or block the call.
Results from a trial showed that of all calls received, about 30 per cent were nuisance or scam calls, of which 98 per cent were blocked.
If you're sick of scammers, would you be willing to invest in this? How much would you be willing to pay?
