"Kaka, were essentially extinct here in Wellington for over 100 years. Then in 2002 a small group was translocated to our fenced sanctuary Zealandia. Now Kaka fly freely around the CBD. There are approximately 1000 birds now, each with its own personality.
They now also breed outside of Zealandia, and are seen throughout the city. These clever parrots are such entertainers, and are a photographers dream.?

FANTASTIC SERVICE. The total price was v competitive and the service was excellent. Jason took the time to understand my driving patterns and recommend a mid-price tyre that would be best value over the life of the tyre. They also provide FREE 2-monthly checks with tyre pressure and wheel rotations. This lengthens tyre life and safety - and further increases value for money. And they are lovely to deal with.
I used to be a loyal customer at Tony's but have found that, since they changed ownership, the service has gone down and total price has possibly gone up. Quoted price might be lower but some firms push services like alignments when they aren't necessary.

Even though the days are growing shorter and the nights longer, there is still time to get out and about to meet with friends and acquaintances. So we’ve just announced our 5th fee cut in 5 years. From 1 April, we’re lowering our total fund charge to 0.30% across our Conservative, Balanced and Growth KiwiSaver Funds and our diversified investment funds. Says Sam Stubbs, Simplicity MD: “Being a KiwiSaver manager involves huge economies of scale. Fee cuts in our industry should be frequent, but they aren’t.”
Simplicity believes in passing on the benefits of scale to our members – and we’re on track for further fee cuts in the future. Check out more details on our blog now!

Many consider apple cider vinegar and honey to be a tasty combination, as the sweetness of honey helps mellow vinegar’s puckery taste.

This Friday, 31 March, from 5.30–8.30pm as part of a ‘sunset and kai’ session, the community is invited to bring along a picnic and kōrero about what Titahi Bay Beach means to them. This takes place on the grass by the Bothamley Lane car park.
For those unable to make Friday’s event, Council will also be at the Titahi Bay Easter Fair on Good Friday, 7 April, 10am–3pm, and are keen to hear peoples’ thoughts about opportunities for the beach.
