Glenwood Home's sheltered Courtyard needs improvements
Glenwood Home in Timaru, is home to 42 residents who are frail and elderly, some at hospital level of care. Elderly folk need a dose of sunshine every day and we wish to make our courtyard a place of choice for our residents. We plan some shade sails, some raised gardens, a few activities like a basketball hoop and badminton set etc. The decking needs replacing as it gets mossy in the winter and is unsafe. In short we will be making this a great and interesting outdoors area that is safe for our residents. We intend to maximise this space and maximise its use.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
