I would like to nominate Harris Motors. Darryl and his team have helped me on many occasions with basic mechanical needs like flat batteries. Darryl has also helped friends of mine in their needs as soon as possible. He is a great guy who is always there and he leads a great team of mechanics that I know have serviced our loca community here in Blenheim for many years.

The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
