Crinoline Bridge closed this week
The Crinoline Bridge which crosses the Taylor River near The Quays – Riverside park, will be closed this week while it undergoes repairs.
Some of the bridge timbers are wearing thin and need to be replaced.
During this time pedestrians and cyclists should instead use the Henry, Alfred or Sinclair Street bridges to cross the Taylor River to get in or out of Blenheim’s CBD.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
