What rubbish have you found in the Marlborough Sounds?
Waikawa Dive Centre is calling all snorkelers, free divers and scuba divers to their “Trash to Treasure” competition. For the month of September, they are asking divers to go out and collect underwater rubbish. Bring your rubbish to Waikawa Dive Centre and receive points for each piece you deliver. The divers who collect the most rubbish and gain the most points stand to win some amazing prizes. Registrations can be made by emailing waikawadive@xtra.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
