Donations collected for Earthquake and Flooding victims
I know a lot of people would like to help the victims of the Earthquakes and Flooding. In Picton we have collection points for donations of groceries and home baking. Xmas will be here soon so collection of new toys and vouchers also will be accepted which will be distributed to the families in need. As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
