A lot of the planning and preparation that we do at CDEM Group level is about these more common emergencies as well as ‘big events’ like earthquakes, that occur less often.
We can’t prevent storms, but there are things we can do to reduce their impact. Do trees need to be trimmed? Are gutters clear of leaves and other debris? What would we do if those powerlines came down across the driveway? Do you know your neighbours?

Suggest they call Natasha and she'll set up the most romantic candlelit picnic at a secret location - all you need do is sip the wine and gaze into each other's eyes.
If that's not enough Natasha has little extras she can add to make the night even more memorable.
