A hovering rescue helicopter and emergency services had to rescue a man fishing at Whiritoa beach recently.
He slipped about 8 metres, breaking multiple bones.
And a veteran lifeguard is warning people not to go rock fishing during an incoming tide.

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
