Sprinkler bans maintained
The sprinkler bans remain in effect in Coromandel Town and Whitianga while the total watering ban that has been in force in Thames has now been lifted and replaced with a conserve water restriction.
Current restrictions:
• Coromandel Town - Sprinkler ban
• Whitianga - Sprinkler ban
• Thames - Conserve water
• Hikutaia - Conserve water
• Puriri - Conserve water
• Matatoki - Conserve water
• Matarangi - Conserve water
• Hahei - Conserve water
• Tairua - Conserve water
• Pauanui - Conserve water
• Onemana - Conserve water
• Whangamata - Conserve water
The sprinkler ban in Coromandel Town and Whitianga means a total ban on the use of sprinklers, irrigation systems, and unattended hoses. Hand-held hoses are allowed on alternate days (even numbered addresses on even dates of the month; odd numbered addresses on odd dates, eg 5 Feb). More information here.
