Remember the rainbow frivolity that is now the month of MARCH? In 2024 we are building on the colourful success of our first Pride Festival 🥳🎉, with the pinnacle event being the Parade around the loop and Gaÿla vibes all afternoon by the Canopy Bridge. We are currently booking stalls and performers as well as volunteers for many other roles in order to make the day possible. Get in touch if you're keen to be involved! As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
