Cushla from Tikipunga

On Thurday 23rd March I went down to the Tikipunga roundabout shops and there were 3 utes one from Auckland City Council parking outside the Hairdressers and Laundromat and blocking our use of the shops and then two large traffic trucks arrived with a load of cones on the back and a man on the concrete island with a rotary hoe. 8 or 9 men and blocked the roads nearly causing accidents. They were there to plant violas in the garden bed, It used to be done safely by 2 girls from the council with one ute and if it wasn't so money wasting it would have been comical, Mayor Vince Cocurullo you need to tell your CEO to pull his head in. 2 girls and 1 ute used to do this job. The ute from Auckland City Council was here to direct traffic. Pull the soil out and fill with concrete and save the ratepayers some money please. Not a happy ratepayer. City safe you are a joke.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
