Should communities have more control over schools?

Josephine Franks Reporter from Whangārei Leader

Keri Milne-Ihimaera was the principal of Moerewa School for 10 years, where the community was deeply involved in the school - until a statutory intervention by the Ministry of Education, she said.

She said change needed to come from the ground up and be supported by those at the top – not the other way round. Do you agree?
