Food Rescue Northland Whakaora Kai Taitokerau

Sam from Kensington

Kia ora Whangarei (WANTING)
We are Food Rescue Northland, what we do is we rescue any food that is not good enough to sell due to dents in cans, veges are not pretty etc and we collect these to give back to our community agencies who provide food to individuals and families that are need of food. We also accept any food donated from individuals that may have an overflow of vegetables or fruits, or goods that are not being used in the pantry. We rescue food before it hits the landfill or pig farms. If you have any food you would like to donate we have two drop off areas, Whare Awhina Community Trust House, 155 Kamo Road, Kensington or the Food Rescue Warehouse, 1 Woods Road, Whangarei (The carpark of the old Chipmunks). We can also pick up. If you have a fruit tree with excess fruit we are happy to pick these and take away.
