This is game changing and will affect all residents, businesses, developers, farmers and future generations. Central government will take over all water infrastructure from councils with very litlle compensation if Nanaia Mahuta has her way. To be controlled by 4 entities of which the boards are 50% iwi and 50% local govt appointees. There goes another chunk of local democracy as the Labour govt centralises everything and develops its 2 parallel governance systems. See He Puapua.
