Mauao track closure
Mauao’s Waikorire track will be closed this Thursday morning from 7am-12pm approx (depending on the weather).
This is to ensure the safety of walkers/runners during the removal of a wilding pine on the southern face of Mauao. Signage will be in place. The Base Track, 4WD and Oruahine Tracks will remain open.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
