Type: Saint Germain Montana, made in Spain. Size: 15 x 15 (according to the packaging), actually 14.7 x 14.7 cm. These 50 tiles will cover about 1.10 square meter, depending on the width of the grout lines. More can be bought. The colour is a combination of three soft tints: ocean (blue/green/grey), grey and beige. We used it for a stunning splash-back. Apparently the tiles are suitable for floors too. For details and an example see: tilewarehouse.co.nz/shop/floor-and-wall/floor/saint-germain-montana-matt-147x147
They were bought from the Tile Warehouse in Tauranga. There is ample stock, in case you need more. The price as advertised on the website is $162 per square meter. We are asking $80 for the lot.
Can be viewed and picked up from Papamoa Beach. Drop off is possible, if not too far away. Contact: Elly (027 371 8720).

🌺 April 25 is a day to commemorate all Australians 🇦🇺and New Zealanders 🇳🇿 who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations and the contribution and suffering of all those who have served.

Anzac Day was originally devised to honour the members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who served in the Gallipoli campaign, their first engagement in the First World War (1914–1918).

The site for CASSINO WAR CEMETERY was originally selected in January 1944, but the development of the battle during the first five months of that year made it impossible to use it until after the Germans had withdrawn from Cassino.

During these early months of 1944, Cassino saw some of the fiercest fighting of the Italian campaign, the town itself and the dominating Monastery Hill proving the most stubborn obstacles encountered in the advance towards Rome.

The majority of those buried in the war cemetery died in the battle during these months - of these 457 were New Zealanders.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them. 🌺

Rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck into a ANZAC woodwork project has been the perfect way to forge a friendship, say Patrick Hogan Village residents Roger and Tony.

“We’ve made eight soldiers and 20 poppies plus the smaller poppies that go on the soldiers’ chests which we will place around the gardens and outside the resident lounge here,” Roger says, agreeing that they will make a perfect backdrop for the village’s planned remembrance morning tea.
