Harbour Bridge maintenance
Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency advises there will be closures around State Highway 1 (SH1) Auckland Harbour Bridge on Monday 2 October between 9.30pm and 5am due to maintenance.
What you need to know:
- There will be southbound lane restrictions including the southbound clip-on lanes.
- Shelly Beach Road southbound off-ramp will be closed at this time (best detour via Fanshawe Street, Beaumont Street and Westhaven Drive).
- There may be increased noise levels as paving activities are being carried out.

Auckland Harbour Bridge summer works
NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi is carrying out essential maintenance on the Auckland Harbour Bridge this December and January. The southbound clip-on lanes will be closed (24/7) from 26 December to 5 January for road resurfacing. Night-time lane restrictions will be in place throughout the summer for recoating work on the bridge. Traffic will still be able to travel in both directions at all times.
