Manukau First Aid training rooms now open
The Red Cross team in Manukau has exciting news – our new first aid training venue at 15 Osterley Way is now open! The new venue offers two training rooms, a break-out space and a kitchenette if you bring your own lunch. It is also conveniently located next to dining options such as the Happy Together Café, and Westfield Plaza Manukau. If you have booked a course with us in Manukau already, please double check your confirmation to ensure you are attending the right venue.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

Illegal dumping
This is awful how people just disregard bylaws. dump their rubbish in parks and waterways to try get away with having to pay dumping costs at the rubbish dumps and transfer stations. This also can cause flooding again due to blocking the grate of the culvert in Princes street. No thought for neighbours or damage that can be caused by their actions.
