Following a career in the health sector Mich Newton changed paths which led her to the role of Visitor Services Manager at Auckland Botanic Gardens. She says I have been enjoyed being able to satisfy my love of plants, gardens, and people. Responding to the changing ways our visitors seek information, adapting to trends and adopting technological advances have all been part of my teams’ journey to connect people with plants and the natural environment. We have learned the need to keep information simple and relevant to visitor needs. Along with my role at Auckland Botanic Gardens I am a member of the executive committee of Interpretation Network New Zealand.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
-
59.6% Yes, supporting people is important!
-
26% No, individuals should take responsibility
-
14.4% ... It is complicated
