Pukekohe WWI Memorial Arch
Exciting news! At long last, on Tuesday February 20, work will begin on reconstructing the historic World War I Memorial Arch at St Andrew's Anglican Church, Pukekohe.
To give the work team full access to the site, you are advised not to park on the driveway into the church grounds from Wesley St or in the area in front of the church. If you do, you're at risk of being towed to give room to the construction vehicles.
Please obey the directions.
The dedication of the arch, by the Anglican Bishop of Auckland, the Right Reverend Ross Bay, is planned for Anzac Day, on Thursday April 25. This will be part of the civic Anzac Day service.
St Andrew's is on the corner of Queen St and Wesley St, Pukekohe.
Pictured is the previous arch before it was smashed by a delivery truck on December 15, 2020.
