Victorious BPW Franklin
Several members of BPW Franklin attended the National BPW Conference in Wellington in April and were thrilled to be awarded the Brooker Award for the fabulous Suffrage 125 event that was lead by BPW Franklin last September.
It was also because of the huge involvement of the Franklin community which made it all so successful. BPW Franklin says a big, Thank you, to you all the community. BPW is a great organisation to belong to and any woman who would like to attend a dinner meeting is warmly invited. The next dinner meeting will be on 22nd May and the speaker will be Caz Hurst who will explain Mindfulness. Anyone who wishes to attend will need to register and pay online, for more information email catering@bpwfranklin.org.nz. for more info visit www.bpwfranklin.org.nz...

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
