Counties Chess Club Open Night
The Counties Chess Club will have our Open Night on Thursday the 13th September at 6.30pm (though I will be there from 6pm) in the Papakura Old Central School in the Main room it is located at 57 Wood Street Papakura (opposite the Papakura Police Station)
Come to the main doors at the front of the building facing Wood St and you will be shown to our room from their Hope to see you.!
If you intend to come to our Opening Night, Please indicate that so I know how many Chess sets to have available for play.

Leisure Time POP
we spent Friday night camped at Bobs Leisure Time POP near Glenbrook, grandson loved especially when the train went past all lit up - just watch out for your ears when the engine whistle blows 🙂
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
