250+ volunteers, welcomed in Spring with a good old spring clean last Saturday. Giving nearly 800 hours to their local town centre.
A HUGE thank you to all those involved, especially Papakura Local Board and the Business Association,
Papakura/Franklin GJ Gardner Team who sponsored KNZB Week, funded the scrumptious sausages from Drury Butchers for the BBQ and who also joined in the clean-up with a team of 23 workers.
The local NZ Police for an impressive job cooking the BBQ! Thank you to the Westforce Credit Union for the delicious food they kindly contributed and lastly City Care for picking up 4 large piles of rubbish removed.

But actually a neat and tidy green lawn is a food desert for pollinators, and leaving grass unmown and letting so-called weeds like clover and dandelion flower provides food for bees and helps support biodiversity.
