The Look Out! Handy Events & Entertainment Guide

Richard from Awapuni

Spring is always a mixed bag weather-wise, but most things such as Hobnail's 25th anniversary concert, Last Night at the Proms, Crack Up With The Cuzzies, classical duo Matthew Barley & Stephen De Pledge and the last screenings of the NZIFF are all inside. However, there are a few things taking a chance with the great outdoors - the Turbos take on the Northland Taniwha @ CETA, the Purea I Te Ahi Festival is on at Ahimate & the St Matthews Plant & Garden Fair takes place in Awapuni.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

Is there anywhere yet in Palmy where bubble wrap & polystyrene can be taken for recycling?

Thank you.
