Give something to Pakistan Flood Victims

Junaid from Aokautere - Fitzherbert

Kia ora and As-salamu Alaykum!

I am sure all of you are following the news about massive flood and likelihood of epidemic breakouts in different regions of Pakistan. 30 million people have been affected by the recent floods across the country. They have lost their homes, crops & livelihoods. The need of the hour is to help them in whatever way you can.

PakNZ is collecting donations for the flood effectees. Please donate as much as you conveniently can. It will help to provide some relief to the people in flood hit areas and rehabilitate them.

Here are the account details: PakNZ,
06-0729-0458219-03, Ref: 2022 Flood Relief

The money will be sent to individuals who are actually on the ground and volunteering in different parts of the country. People who are ready to get the supplies and distribute to the victims.

We are also looking for volunteers to come forward and help us in raising funds for the flood victims in Pakistan. Please get in touch with me at paknz01@gmail.com or any of the committee members if you can volunteer or lead a city wide community fund raising campaign.

Stay blessed,
Junaid

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
