Full Disclosure prior to dispensing or selling animal medications/ flea treatments
Hi everyone
Here's a question that I would like to know how you all feel about.
Upon administering any form of treatment/medication/flea treatment etc (so anything really), where you do not get to see the packaging or leaflet insert, warning labels etc would you expect FULL and open disclosure from your vet about side effects, no matter how rare and especially so if they are serious? Would you expect full disclosure if in the event of an adverse reaction occurring, there was no antidote, treatment or ability to minimize the adverse reaction, which may result in serious consequences such as neurological disorders/seizures and potentially for a few even death of the pet?
would you want to have everything explained first and then decide if its right for you and your pet?
We can all ask questions, but we don't always know the right questions to ask or perhaps you trust the vet or vet brand so don't ask, so voluntary up front disclosure become imperative.
What do you think and how do you feel about being fully informed prior to any treatment of any type being given, especially if you know nothing about it & have never used it before?
Thoughts please.
