The map was created to assist users wanting to locate their closest available essential services, when and if absolutely necessary.
This is a GUIDE NOT GOSPEL - a collaborative effort amongst Palmerston North community members.
Please only utilise this map if you absolutely need to - this is NOT for boredom shopping expeditions, meetups or employment opportunities. Note that some premises may change hours and protocol at short notice. Please only contribute to this map if you have visited or work at one of these essential services. ALL THE TIME, NO EXCEPTIONS
It’s incredibly important that we all follow the Level 4 plan, all the time. No exceptions. Because doing so will save lives.
A CHALLENGE FOR EVERYONE
We realise these are big changes. But these are challenging times.
If we don't all stay home, the whole country will need Level 4 restrictions for longer.
SUPPORT OUR EMERGENCY SERVICE PEOPLE
We owe it to the essential services. Our nurses, doctors and everyone else on the frontline. They’re working tirelessly to save lives. We should all do everything in our power to help them do this.

While you’re staying at home:
STAY CONNECTED
• Don’t let physical distance stop you staying connected. Keep in touch with people using video calls, phone calls, chat and texting.
• If you know people who are living alone, vulnerable, or separated from their loved ones, regularly check-in with them.
STAY WELL
• Continue to practice good hygiene – wash your hands with soap. Then dry.
• Cough or sneeze into your elbow.
• Regularly clean surfaces in your home with disinfectant.
• Keep up regular physical exercise, and get some fresh air when possible. It’s good so long as this is solitary, or only with those you live with.
REACH OUT
If you need advice, support or help, try reaching out to friends, family, whānau or workmates.

If you're in the wider Manawatu District Council area - reach out to Manawatu District Libraries via website or Facebook for the same help. Be patient and I'm sure someone will get back to you. Manawatu Libraries you can sign up for a digital only card, I don;t know if PN Library offers this sorry.

This is a site where authors can publish their own books. Many are for sale obviously but there are many free titles. Authors often give away the first book in a series free for example.

The way it works is that Folding uses some of your PC's computing power and helps to simulate the folding or unfolding of proteins in order to map how they will react. This allows for labs to try and find ways to battle a wide range of diseases like COVID-19.
If you have a working PC, the net and no data cap then please pitch in by getting the program and let your PC help fight for the cures for a range of ailments.
