Weaving Studio open: Sun 2nd November 10am-4pm
Natasha Christensen of Slow Woven Textile Studio is a weaver and fibre artist who works with only natural fibres to create beautiful, one-off pieces inspired by the native plant life of Aotearoa, New Zealand.
Join her in the studio this Sunday to chat about her work, see demonstrations and enjoy her beautifully soft mohair and wool throw-blankets as well as other hand woven pieces that will be avaliable for sale.
Address: 84 Glenburn Road, (off Napier Rd) Ashhurst.
Please note that number 84 is at the very end of Glenburn Road - so wind your way up the hill and it's at the very top. See you there!
The studio is open on the first Sunday of each month.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
-
59.5% Yes, supporting people is important!
-
26.2% No, individuals should take responsibility
-
14.3% ... It is complicated
Recycling question!
