Caccia Birch House 125th Jubilee Celebration:
This Sunday 1 November we welcome you to Caccia Birch House for the celebration of our 125th Jubilee!
Free Garden Party! 1.30pm - 5pm.
The house will be brought to life with wonderful performances by local artists such as Kane Parsons, Crows Feet Dance Collective, Manawatunes Barbershop Group, Scroll Sisters, Palmy Sweethearts Saxophone Quartet and Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Manawatu Kapa Matua Kapa Haka Group.
Local organizations including Te Manawa, The David Warnock Medical Museum, Engineer Corps Memorial Centre (ECMC) Museum, The Scandinavian Society, Manawatu Vintage Car Club and many more will also be on display.

The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
