The Pink Caravan is coming to Palmerston North area - 18 -19 - 22 & 23 November

Emilie Petitdemange from Pink Caravan Education & Awareness - Palmerston North

Each year our breast health nurses travel around New Zealand in our iconic Pink Caravan, to talk about mammograms, offer advice about checking your breasts, healthy lifestyles and family risk. Our nurses have valuable advice about symptoms, treatments, support groups and post-surgery options.

The breast care nurses have visual and hands-on displays of breast cancer symptoms that most women won’t have seen before, and will use prosthetic breasts to show what a lump feels like. We are currently touring the Manawatu - Whanganui regions with the Pink Caravan.

Our breast nurses would love to have a chat to you, so check out where the Caravan is headed and when it comes to a town near you, pop in and say hi.

- On 18 November, our team of breast care nurses will park the Pink caravan in Fielding for the day at New World store (42 Aorangi Street, Feilding)

- On 19 November, the Pink caravan will be parked in Palmerston North for the day at Pak N Save store (327 Ferguson Street, Palmerston North)

- On 22 November, the Pink caravan will be parked in Palmerston North for the day at New World store (179/197 Main Street, Takaro, Palmerston North)

- On 23 November, the Pink caravan will be parked in Pahiatua for the day at New World store (103 Main Street, Pahiatua)

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
