Warning known thieves working in the area again.

Aaron Damian from Foxton

Hi people!
Last night at 2 am a silver/grey sedan pulled into a friends driveway, his house is being worked on and not occupied at the moment. The occupants of the car proceeded to try get in to his house. I would assume to steal tools and damage the house further.(I own the house next door)
Unfortunately when they woke me and I went out yelling at them and they took off before I could get their rego. I have spoken to the police and they have said they have a good idea who it was. Hint, if you have been in Jenks st over the last year and a bit you should have a good idea who it was too. They are well known round Foxton as a family of thieves and have come back before just to kick in the doors and smash up the house after they were evicted for owing a massive amount of rent, intentionally damaging the property and threatening the owner with the mob if he evict them. These people and their "friends" have broken into 2 houses 3 times in Jenks St over the last year and a bit and last night would have made the 4th time if I didn't have a bone to pick with these .....idiots.
Please keep your eyes on your neighbors houses and if you see this happening show these thieves no mercy, greet them with screaming furry and phone call to the police. Break and entry is not allowed round my neck of these woods! ;)
Have a good Easter and be careful on the road!
Regards.
Aaron

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
