'Whakanuia - Celebrating Our Weaving Journey' opens to the public from Monday the 16th of November at the Feilding and District Art Society, 104 Manchester St, Feilding.

Te Whakanuia is a celebration of the accomplishments of eight weavers who have recently completed their final year of a Bachelor of Māori Art (level 7) Weaving. They use customary practices to create stunning traditional and contemporary artworks.

The eight talented artists are:

Casey Baxter
Carmen Eriksson
Melissa Reiri
Claire Murrell
Kelly Menary
